Abstract
What is specialism in radiography practice and where does CT scanning fall within this definition? What is the role of the CT radiographer in the imaging department of today? What place is there for the radiographer with specialist technical skills in an era of advanced clinical practice? Using a historical time line of radiographer CT practice, relevant literature, professional documents and case-studies of CT workforce resource management, this presentation explores contemporary CT practice and CT radiographer identity.
