Abstract

Outlier Detection for the Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Gallery in Exeter, is an artwork and piece of software.

It monitors and measures the frequency with which UK Statutory Instrument legislation is made on an hour-by-hour basis, in real time. The artwork stages a collision between this live data and a 3D model of a Victorian police truncheon that is held in the museum’s collection.
