Abstract

This was an exhibition of a moving image Diptych shot in New York and comprised of 120 moving images. I am engaged on a project which examines the effects of entrainment rather than the 'reading of an artwork'. With many images the reading function is disabled - add binocular steropsis and this further confuses frontal lobe assessment of the image as quite often depth perception is fooled. Each exhibition or artefact with subsequent audience evaluation becomes a scaffolded experiment in research artefact creation and then it's exhibition, audience evaluation, critical reflection with subsequent journal articles and then finally presentation of findings to conference.
