Abstract

International law offers a broad spectrum of research scope at various levels. Irrespective of from what level the researcher starts from, the delicate nature of the subject always offers a research premise. The unique characteristic of international law is that it presents itself in a concealed manner that it requires an interpretive exercise to understand its true meaning. The character of international law offers versatile research scopes that can influence a substantial change in the way how the subject is understood. In this chapter, the authors attempt to identify key components that help the prospective researcher to understand the real character of international law and at the same time provides potential points that could influence/aid researchers to identify their research problems in international law.
