Additional Information | Additional Information : Single authored book. Commissioned by A and C Black, London. Published in USA by Watson Guptill. This volume was compiled from interviews, correspondence and archive material from a diverse number of artists to provide an overview of contemporary artists' book production. Drawing on global examples of contemporary artists' books by 106 national and international practitioners, the book contains twelve chapters plus reference sections for practicing Book Artists. Creating Artists' Books expands upon previous research projects managed by the Centre for Fine Print Research (including the 1999 Books by Artists survey - AHRC funded - which surveyed the work of 111 contemporary British artists) to include international exemplars of contemporary artists' book practice. Sales statements from August 2005 January 2007 show UK and USA combined sales of 4387 copies during this period. The next available statement from the publishers will be in January 2008. A second updated edition will be published in December 2007. Creating Artists' Books has been reviewed in: Printmaking Today, Volume 15 No. 1, Spring 2006, p.30; Umbrella Journal, (Editor Judith Hoffberg), USA, Volume 28, No. 4, December 2005, p.88, editor's reviews of The Artists' Book Yearbook 2006-2007, and Creating Artists' Books; Forum Book Art, 2005-2006 (Ed.
