Global warming, climate change, sustainable and renewable sources of energy, bio fuels, bio technology and similar terms have gained unparallel importance across the globe these days. There is an increasing need to engage in undertaking the basic research into these areas which calls for adequate financing, entrepreneurship and leadership. India has a rapidly growing economy and faces the challenges of huge energy consumption and demand which needs to be properly managed. This paper is based on an interview which attempts to explore the experience of an iconic research entrepreneur from India.
