Abstract
This article discusses the place of the Green Deal in the National Development Plan of Latvia. Low-carbon, resource-efficient and climate-sustainable development enables Latvia to achieve national goals in climate change mitigation, energy, air and water pollution reduction, and waste management. Implementing ambitious green economy plans also requires the active participation of SMEs, their maturity and responsibility. One of the solutions to existing problems, such as recycling and reuse of waste, is the use of eco-technologies using the cavitation method, which makes it possible to make processes “greener” and, most importantly, to obtain an eco-product. As a result, environmental innovation should promote zero-waste production, using renewable energy sources to operate equipment and increasing the added value of the final product.
