Abstract
Nurturing connections between the university and the real estate alumni plays a pivotal role in improving the communication within the real estate sector and to continuously align the educational offer to the emerging industry needs. In the era of digitalisation, when the bonds in the society are weakened, alumni and wider professional networks play an increasingly important role.
The UWE real estate programme leaders questioned their alumni engagement practices and wondered about improvements. Using comparative analysis of networking practices, interviews and focus groups with staff members and on-line surveys with alumni it was confirmed that building engagement with the real estate alumni is important and mutually beneficial for the alumni and the university.
In this workshop we will share our results, exchange best and worst practices and discuss the way forward.
