Dr Mwidimi Ndosi

|Biography||Dr Mwidimi Ndosi is a Senior Lecturer in Rheumatology Nursing. His current post has a combination of research and student education roles in the Department of Nursing and Midwifery.
Dr Ndosi has expertise in conducting research addressing clinical questions of importance to patients and patient care, using observational designs, randomised controlled trials and systematic reviews with meta-analysis. He has (co)authored 50 papers, over 50 peer-reviewed abstracts and three book chapters.
With a clinical background of rheumatology and musculoskeletal care including extended roles, Dr Ndosi teaches undergraduate evidence-based practice and supervises undergraduate and postgraduate research.
Prior to joining UWE Bristol, he held Lecturer and Research Fellow posts at the University of Leeds where he completed his PhD in 2011. His thesis looked into outcomes of nurse-led care for people with rheumatoid arthritis.
Outside UWE Bristol, Dr Ndosi has held leadership roles within British Society for Rheumatology and European League Against Rheumatism. He is Associate Editor of Rheumatology Advances in Practice, an official journal of the British Society for Rheumatology. He is a regular contributor to the UK and the European annual rheumatology conferences and a reviewer to more than 20 rheumatology, nursing and healthcare journals.
