Noting the effective exclusion of Africa from cyberpunk visions of the future, this essay considers several films from Africa, directed by Sylvestre Amoussou, Nadia El Fani, Neill Blomkamp and Jean-Pierre Bekolo, which draw upon and develop cyberpunk imagery and ideas
