Location of the new logistics center in Poland

Abstract

Logistics centers are one of the most important elements of the logistics system. This paper presents the location of a new logistics center location in Poland. The aim of this paper is to suggest a location of the object which is to be multi-modal logistics center. We analyzed the potential customer base of local distribution services, the main directions of transport, the level of existing transport infrastructure and logistics centers. Additionally, in order to specify the location of the logistics centre the modified Reilly’s gravity model of trade is proposed.
