Abstract

Small and medium enterprises play an important role in the economy in terms of employment and creating wealth, therefore management of projects in SME shall be concern of the research. In construction industry project are a main source of generating revenue and project manager plays an important role in achieving project’s success. The paper examines the perception of owners and employees, construction project managers, on competencies that form professionalism in the industry. The research is a comparative study and was carried out on the sample of construction small and medium enterprises in province of Bialystok in Poland and Johor in Malaysia.
