Abstract
Building and strengthening the project’ competencies is one of the key aspects that determine the efficiency of the implementation of innovation projects in enterprises and thus achieve and maintain the company's competitive advantage. Development of project competencies becomes particularly important in the context of ongoing in Poland economic slowdown and new opportunities of development projects that come up with financial perspective and cohesion policy of the EU for 2014-2020. The article presents the results of a survey of changes in project competencies in companies operating in Podlasie. The analysis covered the period 2009-2014. Results allowed for identification of areas of positive changes in the level of project competencies, as well as those that still need support from third parties.
