Abstract
The aim of this conference paper is to provide a critical assessment of the response to market manipulation in the United Kingdom and the United States of America following the 2007/2008 financial crisis. The paper concentrates on the imposition of financial penalties and the instigation of criminal proceedings against traders involved in the manipulation of LIBOR.
