Abstract

The paper explores the impact of disfigurement severity on psychological adjustment, utilising the DAS24 (output 3) to rate subjective severity. Severity was rated objectively by plastic surgeons. The complex findings provide evidence supporting the role of cognitive behavioural therapy in interventions, as well as social skills training.
