Biography Eduardo Costa is a researcher and educator in Computational Design for the Built Environment. He holds a PhD in Architecture on Digital Design, and worked on research projects and teaching modules exploring digital workflows in the context of architectural, product, and structural design.
Research Interests Eduardo focuses on parametric and procedural modelling for automating the generation, analysis and optimisation of SHAPE, from buildings to building elements, as well as on the integration of digital fabrication techniques (including stone CNC milling, ceramic 3D printing and concrete reconfigurable forming), considering how their constraints and potentials inform the design process. He also works on software development for implementing such workflows into user-friendly digital tools.
