Abstract
In the contemporary landscape of industrial manufacturing, the concept of a digital twin has emerged as a tool bridging the gap between physical systems and their virtual counterparts. The main aim of this project was to delve into the concept, giving special attention to the seamless integration of various data types and systems that constitute a digital factory environment. The project builds upon the foundation laid down by a previous collaboration with CIMPA PLM Ltd Bristol, where we built a model digital twin of a conveyor belt system.
