Abstract

A small but diverse range of species were recorded during a trip to Slovenia from 13-19th June 2010. Three main localities provided reptile and amphibian sightings; Ljubljana, Postojna and Pivka River, and the Sumik forest reserve, Pohorje. Although Lake Bled was also visited during the trip we did not observe any herpetofauna, possibly due to the lack of natural lake shores and high human pressure in the area. Herpetofaunal nomenclature is concordant with the recent European checklist of Speybroeck et al. (2010).
