Abstract

Three-dimensional crossing-shock-wave and turbulent boundary-layer interactions can generate intense wall heat flux rates, high pressure levels, and large-scale flow separations on high-speed vehicle surfaces. To reproduce such complex flow physics, simple configurations, such as single-sharp fin and double-sharp fin mounted on a flat plate, were adopted in previous investigations.
