Abstract

Drawing on Michel Foucault's concept of discourse, this paper discusses how journalistic discourses and practices and those of the London Olympic Bid Committee worked in tandem to influence readers of the UK newspaper with the greatest readership to back London's bid for the 2012 Olympic Games.
