Exploring the psychosocial impact of undergoing botulinum toxin treatment
Paraskeva, Nicole
Authors
Abstract
In 2012, the American Society for Plastic Surgeons reported that 13 million minimally invasive treatments, such as botulinum toxin injections and dermal fillers, were performed in the US. As the demand for these procedures continues to rise, it is vital to understand the psychosocial impact for patients who seek them. Nicole Paraskeva evaluates the literature on botulinum toxin treatments.
