Abstract

This presentation is based on a PhD study that focuses on the role of coaching in talent and leadership development programmes in a multinational financial services organisation. It analyses the perceptions of leaders who receive coaching as part of the organisation’s talent management strategy. The presentation offers a review of the executive coaching and talent management literature and proposes a theoretical framework for the study. Early findings on the role of coaching at individual and organisational levels are also discussed.
