Abstract
Jonathan Gilbert was invited by the Financial Conduct Authority to attend their offices in Stratford, London on Wednesday 9th July, to deliver a presentation on his research into bank and mortgage fraud. In the morning, Jonathan presented to circa-200 Forensic Investigators from across the regulator on his published research and then following lunch participated in a roundtable discussion which included a discussion on the impact of the ‘failure to prevent fraud’ provisions of the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023 and the likely impact this will have across the financial services sector.
