Abstract

An exhibition of artwork centred on relationships between object and image. Assisted readymades populated a reconfigured gallery space adorned with large-scale painted backdrops and printed paper. Registers of public and domestic space were disrupted with internal walls and apertures providing multiple viewing points within the gallery, creating a sense of theatricality that was redoubled through manipulations of natural and artificial light sources. Images and words formed alliances with sculptures, reinforcing or undermining emergent associations.
