Abstract

Exploring the role of a Student as an Academic Partner (SAP) in software engineering education, this study investigates the interactions between students and faculty and evaluates the perceptions of students on SAP's integration within a Group Software Development Project module at the University of the West of England (UWE). Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, findings reveal nuanced insights into collaborative dynamics and the potential benefits of student-faculty partnerships. This research underscores the transformative potential of SAP roles in enhancing educational practices and student engagement, with plans to extend this model to international contexts such as in India.
