Abstract

FREEDOM PROJECT KOLEKCJA is a response to crises and ongoing global conflicts humanity is facing today. Artists were invited to speak up on issues related to human rights, war, violence, social and racial injustice. The mission of this important and timely project is to educate and to create a dialogue between the viewer and the artist in this crucial time of human history.

The collection features 56 artworks created by 56 international artists from 22 countries: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Japan, South Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, Peru, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden,
UK, USA, and Zimbabwe working in: book art, calligraphy, collage, drawing, fiber art, handmade paper, mixed media, painting, photography, poster design.

Curator: Ania Gilmore

During the opening there will be an author's guided tour. Jadwiga Tryzno, director of MKA in Łódź, Ania Gilmore, the Curator and participating artists will talk about the project.
