Abstract

Dunoon MOCA starts the New Year 2025 with Protest
Artists' Protest: in Words & Images!
Protest art - words and images - We believe art has the power to change society. It can influence the way we think and act as individuals and as a society. We must make our voices heard in the political world today! For this reason, Dunoon MOCA presents a special one-week exhibition opening January 20, 2025 protesting the US Presidential inauguration of Trump. The response to an open call was overwhelming: approximately 100 artists, poets and activists have submitted works to be displayed at the gallery.
They are from all parts of the UK as well as many international contributors including Germany and as far away as Hawaii who all engage in a large variety of protest issues. The exhibition will continue to run daily Tuesday Jan 21 to Saturday 25, 1-4pm.
