Abstract

This is Rob Wilks' first lecture on Deaf Legal Theory in which he presents a summary of Bryan and Emery's (2014) seminal chapter, attempts to develop a model through which Deaf Legal Theory can be applied, and applies it to four different areas of law. It was, presented as part of the University of Birmingham's Law and Language Seminar with Dr Gearóidín McEvoy and Dr John Bosco Conama focusing on Deaf Legal Theory and Sign Language Law.
