Seeing the trees in the forest: Opportunities for inclusive practice within the psychology curriculum

Abstract
Within the broader calls for decolonization of universities, Psychology has nowhere to hide. With a history and knowledge base born largely of the white, western, and elite, we have much work to do but as a science we are well placed to rise to the challenge. Though overwhelming if taken in whole, opportunities large and small abound within the Psychology curriculum and these can add up to meaningful change that promotes a more inclusive culture. Though no one action will fit at all institutions or be a complete solution, working as an individual, course, or department, there are things that can be done right now to get started. This talk will highlight projects on supporting a more successful transition to university, pre-registration within dissertations, inclusive assessment, and diversifying, internationalizing and decolonizing module content. In the spirit of this conference, the hope is to inspire discussion, action, and, most importantly, a positive impact for students.
