How a city organised? What does a group of people to define and begin their urban cultural practices? Why do places become symbols, by whom or from whom do some places occupy a "space" while others remain in an apparent lack of definition? "A place on its site" is an ethnography of the creation and recreation of the urban space based on the representations and cultural practices carried out for more than a hundred years by "santarroseños", the of the capital of Northern Patagonia (La Pampa, Argentina).
