Abstract

This paper explores the role of buyer-seller power relationships in the adoption and implementation of digital technologies and business performance in the context of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Linear and multiple regression analyses were used
with a sample of 109 companies. The results suggest that the implementation of digital technologies at the supply chain level has a positive effect on business performance, while the individualized adoption of those technologies at the company level does not. The
results also support the assumption that power relationships positively moderate the relationship between the implementation of digital technologies and business performance.
