Dr Sarah Bodman Sarah.Bodman@uwe.ac.uk
Associate Professor
Sarah Bodman explores the visual history of Bookarts at UWE Bristol's World Book Night (WBN) project which has evolved over the last 13 years from a collaboration with the artist and poet Nancy Campbell into an international, participatory celebration of reading and creative making. Bodman shows examples of some of the inspirations for and responses to annual public calls to make works for exhibitions and exchanges after reading works by writers including: Margaret Atwood, Donna Tartt, Stephen King, China Miéville, Olga Tokarczuk, Douglas Coupland, Georges Perec and Joe Brainard.
