Abstract
Paper exploring the local and community documentary theatre work of Peter Cheeseman at the Victoria and New Vic Theatres in Stoke-on-Trent, and the Living Archive Project/Stantonbury Drama Group in Milton Keynes, from the 1960s to the 1990s. Particular focus on the relationships between locality, history and community and the broader political implications of these.
