My research interests include health outcomes, health inequities, health education, and evaluating non-pharmacological interventions for people with rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases.
I employ a range of quantitative methods, including randomised controlled trials, observational studies, methodological research, and evidence synthesis.
In student education, I teach research methods and evidence-based practice to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to critically evaluate research and apply it to inform practice and policy decisions. I supervise postgraduate research and I am Programme Lead for the MRes in Health and Care Research.
I am interested in knowledge translation activities, focusing on disease prevention and improving health and wellbeing. I have experience using both traditional and social media platforms to effectively communicate health information.
