This article reports on a collaborative project between a school, the University of the West of England and Community Researchers seeking to reach into the community to encourage family engagement with the school library through the use of school and community ‘influencers’ to spread messages about reading and the school’s hub library. The project aimed to increase the number of 'harder to reach' families who engaged with reading through the school library by using 'community influencers' to influence family reading behaviours.
