Despite the several health-related benefits associated with regular exercise, such as improvements in anxiety and depression, individuals who feel uncomfortable with their bodies are likely to avoid physical activity for fear of being judged negatively by others. Daisy Townsend, PhD Researcher at the Centre for Appearance Research, delves into the psyche of those who feel self-conscious about their body image.
