Creating the hybrid workforce: Challenges and opportunities
Griffiths, Marc
Authors
Abstract
The introduction of hybrid imaging technology has begun to redefine working practice in nuclear medicine. Emerging hybrid imaging techniques and evolving roles have created opportunities and challenges for nuclear medicine practitioners, and changes in traditional professional relationships with other health care disciplines. Health professionals across the world now work within an environment of flux and uncertainty, which inevitably presents new challenges for the workforce, new skills, and knowledge [1]. This is coupled with the need to provide high-quality care, bringing together clinical effectiveness, patient safety, and individual patient experience.
