Abstract

To share the development of a collaborative relationship – promote an inclusive method of making work that usually has a particular hierarchy of roles, tasks and outcomes.

A short descriptive history of the Printed Poetry Project, a collaboration and friendship that has evolved over the past three years between poet SJ Fowler, printer and publisher Pat Randle (Nomad Letterpress) and artist-printer and researcher, Angie Butler. A discussion of how we began working together, the project framework that resulted in our first publication, Twenty-five Poems. The book launch, alongside the Printed Poetry Symposium and pop-up exhibition at the Arnolfini and printing event at the Letterpress Collective (Oct, 2021). Explanation of the project impact on our own practice and for each other. Developing our project and methodology for our second publication, The Hyphen is A Dagger and launch at the Small Publishers Fair and St.Bride Library (Nov, 2023). Thoughts on next steps for the project and other planned events in between that are being realised because of our collaboration.
