Additional Information | Additional Information : MammoGrid was one of the first projects in the field of grid computing for health. It has demonstrated the grid's potential to serve as an infrastructure for e-Health applications. It has shown that collaboration between radiologists in different locations is possible in real time, including distributed image search with associated, summary and metadata. It has demonstrated that a Service-Oriented Architecture is applicable to medical applications, including the provision of standardization, quality control, annotation and computer-aided detection services. This paper was invited by Methods of Information in Medicine following presentation of a preliminary version at HealthGrid 2004, Clermont Ferrand. |
