Abstract

While spending time in Tennessee as a visiting fellow in October 2022, the upcoming elections dominated the news. The televised debates revolved around the issues of rights, and who is right, and what it means to be on the right. It struck me how ironic it is to talk of rights and the right and to be right when the conversation deserves more nuance. Furthermore, now that I was in the USA looking back at the UK, I found myself looking eastwards at a continent that considers itself part of the West.

Students and professors formed a circle and drew the person to their right. Then they turned and drew the person to their left. The drawings were collated and assembled in this one page photolithographic printed book. Project conception and design of book structure by Wuon-Gean Ho.
