Abstract

Initiated and co-organized a public round-table discussion and screening investigating the impact of CelAction software on the UK animation industry. Co-organisers: Paul Wells (Director, Animation Academy, Loughborough University) and Gareth Howell (Research Assistant). Contributors included Tim Searle (Triffic Films), Kitty Taylor (Tiger Aspect), Iain Harvey (Illuminated Films) and Andy Blazdell (co-creator of CelAction). This discussion furthered understanding of the impact of the CelAction programme, and drew on the knowledge of the group, including the author’s experiences working as an art director on CelAction productions such as Charlie and Lola (Tiger Aspect).
