Abstract
Sarah Bodman was the invited curator for THE WORLD AS TEXT, a summer reading room at The Center for Book and Paper Arts, Columbia College Chicago, USA. A hybrid space designed to amplify connections between the action of reading and the activity of performance, the reading room featured contemporary artists’ books, zines, exhibition catalogues and alternative publications selected by over 15 guest curators including Doro Boehme, Tate Shaw, James Goggin, Sarah Bodman, New Berlin, Temporary Services, Steve Clay and more. THE WORLD AS TEXT was curated to amplify the connections between book practices and interdisciplinary art making.
