Abstract

The Local Government Association commissioned Dr Daniela Paddeu of the Centre for Transport and Society, University of the West of England, to carry out independent research to explore the role of local authorities in co-designing and implementing sustainable local freight solutions for the ‘last mile’ of parcel deliveries. The results of this work will help inform future LGA discussions with Department for Transport and other stakeholders towards the UK Transport Decarbonisation Plan, as well as raising awareness and sharing learning across local authorities.
