Statement to the UN OHCHR regional meeting for Europe, Central Asia and North America on the international decade for people of African descent

Abstract

This Regional Meeting on IDPAD hosted by UN OHCHR brought together stakeholders including civil society, academia, state parties and representatives of UN bodies to discuss interventions needed, where violations of ICESCR 1965 disproportionately disempower the African diaspora's access to universal human rights. I represented IDPAD Coalition UK and contributed a number of data outputs including the following.
