Abstract

This article provides a formal account of some of the major themes that shaped the history of economic thought during the biennium 2016-2017. It focuses on three areas, namely, macroeconomics, development economics, and the lives and ideas of selected economists or schools of economic thought. The research suggests that the history of economic thought is undergoing some changes due to a continuous process of rethinking economic ideas.
