Abstract

This presentation provides a high-level assessment of air pollution and its management viewed through the lens of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
It contains
• a short overview of the sparse literature,
• an assessment of the impact of air pollution as a barrier to achieving the SDGs
• an assessment of the enabling contribution of air quality management.
• concluding observations and a call for further research.
