Abstract
Tavs Jorgensen, Centre for Fine Print Research and the Ken Stradling Collection invites you to the Glassworks research symposium and exhibition on Friday 9th of November 2018. The Glassworks project explores the use of 3D printing in glass investment casting through interdisciplinary investigations. The symposium will report on the results from a recent research workshop led by Jorgensen in collaboration with glass artist Angela Thwaites. The event will feature a keynote presentation by Jeffrey Sarmiento from the National Glass Centre in Sunderland as well as presentations by project participants from a wide range of disciplines including: Engineering, Textiles, Fashion, Fine Art, Craft, Design, Science, Graphics, Architecture, Product Design and Digital Media.
