Abstract
Clothes, our wardrobe, style, fashion, dress and the uniforms we wear all say something about who we are,
what we are into, who we work for or what groups we want to belong to. This talk explores how our clothes tell stories, what we wear at work and why, and what role clothes have in ‘fashioning’ our sense of identity. Amongst other things, we’ll look at how Kate Middleton’s clothes embody a brand, how an international bank tried to control their employee’s work wear, and what McDonald’s workers really wear under their uniforms…
