Transposing the EU directive on the right to information: A firecracker or a damp squib?
Cape, Ed
Authors
Abstract
The article critically examines the way in which the European Directive on the right to information has been transposed into domestic law by amendments to the PACE Code of Practice C. It concludes that whilst the Directive has, broadly, been faithfully transposed its impact will depend upon interpretation by both the police and the judiciary.
