Atkinson, Melissa J.
Authors
Abstract
Body image concerns are associated with a range of negative consequences for health and wellbeing, including eating disorders. Interventions that successfully improve body image and related factors are therefore important. Melissa Atkinson puts forward mindfulness as a psychological approach for treating those with body image concerns, as it can be conceptualised as a skill for managing negative experiences
